As long as the message remains in the editor, you can do anything with it: rewrite individual paragraphs, add attachments, change the formatting. When the result is satisfactory, you just need to click on the send arrow.

After this, the post appears in the channel's feed. If a team is working on the channel, the right to publish should be enabled in the settings of the specific administrator.

How to format text

For most publications, complex formatting is not required. It is much more important that the text does not turn into a long wall: several small paragraphs are usually read better than one large one.

Individual words can be made bold, italicized, or strikethrough if desired. To do this, simply highlight the fragment — Telegram will show the available options.

It's better not to get carried away with highlights. When almost every second sentence is in bold, it becomes difficult for the reader to understand what exactly deserves attention.

How to add a photo or video

The attachment icon is located next to the message line. It opens the gallery from which you can select a photo or video.

Before sending, the selected file will appear in the publication window. You can also add text there. If there are multiple images, Telegram will combine them into one publication, so it makes sense to check their order in advance.

This format is suitable, for example, for a selection, announcement, short instruction, or product description.

How to insert a link in the text

You can leave a short address in the post as it is. With long links, the usual approach is different: they hide them in a word or phrase so that the URL doesn't take up half the line.

For example, instead of the full website address, you can make the words "more on the website" clickable. To do this, highlight this phrase and add the desired link through the Telegram menu.

It's worth checking the result right away. Click on the ready link and see if the desired page has opened. It's especially easy to make a mistake if the address was copied in parts or typed manually.

How to edit a published post

Noticing a typo a minute after publication is a common story. There's no need to delete the post and type it again.

Click on the message and select "Edit" from the menu.

The same text will open, but now in editing mode. Correct the mistake and save. Here you can also replace the incorrect link or add a couple of words that were missing in the original version.

However, if the post was sent to the wrong place or the publication has lost its meaning altogether, it’s easier to delete it. The necessary option is located in the message menu.
